Four Thousand Weeks
A digital memento mori. It draws your whole life as a field of weeks, the one you're living now breathing at its center, and offers a single reflection each day.
Join the betaA small studio building calm, beautiful apps for presence, reflection, and growth. The kind of technology that gives time back instead of taking it.
Most apps are built to take your attention. We think the best tools do the opposite. They make you more present, more deliberate, and more alive to your own life.
A small family of apps that tend to people, and a platform for the people who help others grow. One philosophy, many doors.

Calm is a design decision. Warmth, typography, and motion are how a tool earns a place in someone's daily life and a moment of their attention.
Every app we make has to leave its user a little more present, clear, or capable than it found them. If it doesn't, we don't ship it.
I'm Ivan, a photographer and filmmaker from East Los Angeles. The Rowan Studio is named for the street I grew up on, and for the tree that folklore plants by a doorway to welcome and protect the people inside. That's the work I want to make: software that meets you at the threshold, helps you be a little more present, and then lets you get back to your life. I make these tools the way I make photographs, slowly, by hand, and in service of the person on the other side.
Tools for the work of being human.
